Disabled Intel HD Graphics 4000

I disabled Intel HD Graphics 4000 in device manager on my laptop and my screen is black. No BIOS screen or anything either. Can't boot into safe mode with f8. If it matters, this machine is a dual boot of wubi-Ubuntu and win7. The keyboard lights up, so I know it's on. Arrrgghhh

First up, does the system use a second GPU or is it the only one it has? What make/model is it?

Second, I am not sure how accessible it is with laptops, but did you try pulling the CMOS battery out and putting it back again to restore settings to defaults?

one thing i dont understand, why would you disable it in the first place..

Second its a bit strange, because even if you disable it in the device manager of windows, you should still get a bios splash screen, till its loading, windows.. wen windows takes over control from the bios, then you should get a black screen.

Or did you disable it in the bios?
