Whenever I open a game that is directX like Tribes Ascend It opens but it does not show anything. When I click the icon on the task bar the screen goes black and the it goes back to the desktop. Any Ideas?
Download and run the Direct X diagnostic tool, it might be completely useless as is most of Microsoft's Help tools but there's a chance that it might find out what's wrong. That's the best I can offer as I'n never had issues with Direct X.
Another suggestion is to uninstall and reinstall Direct X completely and see what that does.
