Dilemma: PS4 with games or a better PC Build

So I've had this dilemma for a while and I'm pretty unsure whether what would be the best option. I know nobody can decide for me, but I want to see which would be more worthwhile since X-mas is drawing nearer. And my budget is up to £400 max.

This is my build which needs a great improvement:
3rd Party Galaxy case
AMD A4 5300 dual core
Gigabyte FM2+ Mobo (forgotten the full name)
8gb RAM
EVGA GTX 750ti SC (re-using)
Generic 400W PSU
1TB Toshiba HDD (re-using)
Thermalright True Spirit 90mm CPU Cooler (re-using)

This is the build I have come up with:
Fractal Design Define R4
i5 6400 Quad Core Skylake CPU
MSI Z170M Mortar Mobo
HyperX Fury Black 8GB (4x2) 2400Ghz DDR4 RAM
Seasonic M12ii 620W PSU
+ A game or two/FUNC KB-460 mechanical keyboard
£395.94 - total

Or:
PS4 console 500GB (cuh-1200)
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Bloodborne: Game of The Year Ed.
Fallout 4
DVI cable for my PC (since I'm currently using an HDMI cable and there's only one socket in my monitor)
£396.78 - total

Any insight or reccommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
-Thorogrimm.

I would go with the computer build you can do more with it and games will run faster the only reason I wold go with a console is for the exclusives but I would much rather invest that money into a computer and beside thanksgiving and xmas steam sales will be killer so you can save a lot of money from those.

Go for the computer.

Definitely the computer. You might save some money if you went Z97 since you can transfer that RAM over, and the hardware is generally a little cheaper. You'd be getting about the same performance as the skylake CPU.

Cool.

So Instead on my list I've got a an i5 4460, an MSI Z97 SLI Krait Edition motherboard and some DDR3 HyperX Fury White 8GB (4x2). I really didn't want to stick with my current 8GB single stick.

Why don't you just upgrade your CPU and grab a 380? It'll game better overall than an i5+750ti

Also threw in a new PSU to avoid possible fire hazzards

You could also use the SSD money to get a 390

That should set you up nicely for a while, also check out Streetguru's builds. If you want to go AMD you could probably get a little more bang for your buck.

Main thing is he already has an FM2+ board and 8GBs of DDR3

Won't the R9 380 be bottlenecked, though?

a 860k+380 will crush a 750ti + anything

Here's a basically the same CPU with a 290x

An 860k is only going to hold you back in very CPU intensive games like Company of Heros or Total War

Well I mostly play games like Dark Souls, Skyrim and I'm planning on getting Fallout 4.

Ya...Betheda's engine really likes CPUs, though I'm not sure why the FX 8 cores are faster than the FM2+ CPUs, I guess it takes advantage of multi-threading, much better than skyrim did anyways

Skyrim
FX 4 and 8 cores pretty much on par

But in every other game besides fallout 4 the 380 + 860k is going to beat out the i5 + 750ti

Plus you get the 480gb SSD

So what am I better off going with?
Sticking to my GTX 750ti + i5 4460-- or an R9 380 + X4 860k
I mean it's less expensive to go for an i5 4460 with other stuff and stick with my GTX 750ti, but what would be better performance?

Depends on how much you care about your fallout 4 performance really, the 380 is going to do better in pretty much every other game

Well, I mean it's a game I want pretty bad but is an i5 4460 and a GTX 750ti going to be sufficient for most stuff?

1080p lower settings mostly, should be fine until you can upgrade to something

Hm, I'll have a look around for a bit. I do pretty much only game at 1080p and I'd only be worried if I could only run some newer games at Medium settings for 30 FPS.

I think either way you're going to be hovering around 40fps 1080p low-medium in fallout 4

So, ya, maybe get the 860k so you can get the giant SSD

Will an SSD be worth sacrificing an i5, though?
