Ok so I'm trying to configure digiKam on Mint 18, and all is good except for the icon descriptions that pop up on mouse over being unreadable (white text on yellow background)....
I've tried using
sudo apt-get install kdelibs-bin kdelibs5-data kdelibs5-plugins kdeartwork
sudo apt-get install systemsettings kdebase-runtimeas a user on the Mint software page suggests, but I can't seem to get system settings/KDE systemsettings to work properly - all I have is a "configure" button...did I not run all necessary cmds?
