okey so i made another post asking a good gpu for a good price, and it turned out to be the 7870, but there is gigabyte radeon 7870, asus radeon 7870, asus radeon 7870, what is the difference?
and also im using a 7870 for my asrock z77 motherboard combined with a i5
well, the main difference is the coolers... and the quality of the cards... the all ahve the same processor, but every manufactuerer has a diffrent board, and a different cooler... asus is usually gigantic coolers... take up 3 pcie/expansion slots.... I suggest the HIS iceq... logan gave it a pretty good review
but it says on the box that its for amd
(correct me if I'm wrong) People fail to realize that AMD and Nvidia dont make graphics cards (besides the reference cards), they make the GPUs. All those 3rd party vendors are the ones that make the cards. Go over each card and all their specs, video memory, memory interface (128 bit, 256 bit, etc), and find out which one is better for your rig and how you plan to use it.
