Simple question really,
Other than the price lol roughly 40pounds difference between 16gb which is 2x8gb at 2666 what is the difference between then is it just the fancy head spreader or is there something hardware wise that justifys the extra performance.

Looks mainaly yes.
You might be able to overclock them higher.
But Highspeed memory doesnt realy add that much to real world performance for the average user realy.
Corsair Dominators are basicly Corsairs enthusiast line of memory.
Its mainaly ment for tweakers, overclockers and fine tuners.
I think that they also have Corsair Link compatibility for temp monitoring.
But i´m not fully sure.
Corsair Vengeance is basicly Corsairs mainstream line.
These rams are made to just work.
And might have less tweaking headroom.
Is it worth paying the extra cash for the dominator platinum planning on using it with an overclocked 6700k.
Depending on how much an experianced overclocker you are.
And how deeply you like to get into it, wenn it comes to fine tuning and tweaking.
Like i said above both ram kits work totaly fine, and if you just plan to do some moderate overclocking?
i would say that it most likely wont be worth it.
But if you are a hardcore overclocker, tuner, tweaker and you want to sqeeze every last drop out of your setup?
Then its worth it.
