Diehard Linux User buliding a new PC

Been awhile since I looked at this thread. I am struggling to find a 64GB ram package for this build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wH88RJ

Any suggestions?

I would look at some of the G.skill Trident Z kits cl15 /16.

What would happen if I put these in https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-64gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232865 ?

Should work fine.

I was worried because they are not on the QVL list for the Taichi motherboard… Thanks for the info…

Ehh, QVL doesn’t really matter.

Well update… The BEAST LIVES! I went with the 2920X as I was not sure I could afford the 2950x. I got a refurbished Nvidia K5200, which is absolutely awesome in linux and seems to be ROCK solid. The only part I am having heart ache about is getting a KVM to support my configuration… I have posted a request in the MISC hardware, but perhaps someone in this group might have a suggestion…

I have an LG display that has only HDMI inputs, I have DP and DVI out of both Graphics cards (K5200 and RADEON RX590). I would like to pass one Mouse and key board on the KVM through to windows and have windows recognize the mouse as the gaming mouse I have)… I am completely open to suggestions as I have failed twice…

Thanks for the help and insight… I also went with slower ram, DD4-2400 and I don’t see any issues with it, though I am not pushing for extreme benchmarks at this point is stability I am after.
