Did anyone heard something about the new AMD CPUs?

Why doesn't AMD want my love??

Another piledriver cpu...

Old News.

The "Basilisk" APU is interesting, only two Zen cores. This actually tells us quite a lot about the Zen core because even the low end tablet and ultra portable Beema and Mullins APUs had quad core variants so maybe the Zen cores are substantially larger than the 2 cluster modules that form a 4 core bulldozer based CPU or maybe the decade old rumors are true and AMD is going down the SMT path.

And one more point, the die space occupied by current APUs CPU cores are actually relatively small compared to the space occupied by the GPU so there is a possibility that Zen cores are roughly the same size but the GPU components are just real space hogs.

Since I am going with AMD either way due to budget restraints as well as diverse use (Adobe Suite, not just games. Plus I already invested in some cooling options that will last me years of overclocking), my only question is "Will I see an AMD CPU come out in the next 18 months that will be substantially better than the 8350?"

The answer to that I would have to say is quiet probably, either that or zen is a flop and AMD will fail... But you are probably looking at late 2016-mid 2017..... That is a long time away......... I would probably be looking at an 8320E on the amd side, they are fairly cheap and I think they can be OCd to perform the same as 8370s et.al.
