Diablo4 (Hardcore)

So Diablo 4 really got me hooked. It’s a good game, following the example and inspiration of Diablo 2 and is a worthy successor.

And I play strictly Hardcore since Diablo 2 days. Today I beat the game with my barbarian after losing a Druid at lvl 35 and a Mage at 27. Always good to have a fallback.

Druid is back to lvl 20ish and so far I enjoy Druid the most. I always loved Sorcerer in all Diablo games and it was usually my favorite, but in Diablo 4, I just don’t know how to make the class work and fun. I feel like damage is lacking compared to the other classes, maybe Aspects will eventually get me a proper Sorcerer, who knows.

Any other Hardcore players out there? What’s your Diablo experience? Totally worth the money as far as I’m concerned.

Diablo player since D1.

D4 hasn’t really hooked me, not sure why. Maybe life things going on, lack of time, but i did like d3 along with the other two unlike most others it seems…

I’m about level 17 so early days yet, playing a necro - my favoured class in d2.

I’m not playing hardcore though - australian internet plus limited time… i’d rather see my way through the game once at least first.

He’s great. I didn’t like the witch doctor in D3. But bringing back Necromancer was a good call. I didn’t play much Necro yet, still so much to try out. I miss my Paladin.

The main storyline is well made. I can totally see people just playing to see the plot develope. And some of the later cutscenes are worth fighting (or dying) for.

I couldn’t care less about it when it was annouced and beta was ongoing. But then it changed. And it runs perfectly on my Linux machine too.

Bad internet and latencies are a no-go. Battle.net servers are more reliable than I remember them in D3. But today queue times for login are very long, so I won’t play. Good weather (northern hemisphere privilege in June) and family make up for a better Sunday anyway

Can confirm overall.

After some time it drops down to cinematic fps for no obvious reason. Restarting the game fixes that though. Friends on Windows have a similar issue just not as drastic but I think it is some sort of memory leak. Early days, probably gets sorted out over time.

Not playing hardcore but having a blast with my spin2win barb. Story was great, just finished opening up the map, level 46 currently.

Got the full 20G of VRAM allocated all the time. Something is definitely wrong there. But otherwise I didn’t expect any major bugs. Found some buggy quest, but that’s one out of 200.

Whirlwind…I switched to Upheaval for my Core Skill. Evade to get a good attack vector, then smash those demons. Might switch back to Whirlwind with that Aspect which improves your Call of the Ancient Ultimate. Barb is fun, I got Thorns and Life for days. Really helped me staying alive.
