Deus Ex runs at 1-2 FPS help! (solved)

I just got Deus Ex GOTY edition off steam and when I ran the game, the moment the menu popped up my Frame Rate plumited to 0-2 fsp. I have no idea why its doing this. Please help me.

My laptop has both intel HD graphics and a Geforce GT 420m (I think its running on the later)

I have an i5 460m @ 2.53 Ghz

and 4 GB of RAM

errr download the latest nvidia drivers and turn your laptop to high performance mode in the power settings?

i'll see if theres new drivers but my laptop is at a power setting exceeding the performance of high performance

It seems to be the lone game that runs better on intel hd graphics (a chip that sucks), im at a good frame rate now.
