Recently I stumbled upon this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bP_8EYQ-2RA. It's adapter that allows you to hook up desktop graphics card to a laptop. Has anyone had any experience with this? I don't think I'm going to try it but I'm interested in what other people think.
To me all those solutions just seem like they aren't worth the effort
You'll be losing a lot of bandwidth with those, not a very practical solution than just buying a laptop with a mobile GPU. Plus not a lot of laptops today have built in mini PCI-e slots.
They have, you just have to remove your wireless + bluethooth card and use a dongle.
Interesting if you are a person that only wants a laptop and wants to still game and do it decently. It is definitely cool in a pc nerd sort of way so if I had money to burn I might do this.
