So, I have this really cool coaster called and Ipad 2, but it's starting to take up to much space because I can't fit it and my Nexus 7 at the same time. What exactly should I do with it? It's done so well keeping my desk from being scratched or stained, as well as holding down papers when I open the windows, that it just doesn't feel right to merely throw it in the trash. So what can I do to send it off into it's next life, were hopefully it can be melted down, remade into another, more superior, less evil tablet, perhaps a low end asus transformer if it's lucky. It deserves it after all, as it has served me well.
id take it apart (if possible) the motherboard in calculators are interesting (emerald green ftw) hand that ipad mobo shit on your wall, frame the bitch and put ipad 2 "hated tablet 2010-2013, you will not be missed"
Does it still work?
It works perfectly, not dent, no scratches. However made it has some beautiful craftsmenship, not to mention they must take themselves seriously to put so much work into the coaster/paperweight hybrid
That is an awesome idea.
sell it to some poor mac loving fool then. waste not want not. use the $$ to build a Hak5-esque ITX wallserver.

you should so make a meme, of you using your nexus 7 while the ipad2 is on the desk being used as a coaster with "they must take themselves seriously to put so much work into the coaster/paperweight hybrid" written in (you did hit the nail on the head with that) that would crack me up
I want to do a combination of what eevee and thanos said, take out the motherboard, hand it up, may be put a plaque that says something underneath. But I want to keep the body intact, use it to set various things like plates and drinks on so I don't get rings and scratches on my desk. How does one take this shit apart without braking it? Some of my friends bring over their mac enthusiast friends on occassion, and I would love to see their reaction to it have coffee rings and crumbs all over it, I might even spill something on it while they are there
