Denuvo on Linux version of Rise and Shadow of the Tomb Raider

According to the Steam product pages, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider both contain Denuvo anti tamper (Tomb Raider 2013 doesn’t, don’t know why). I read somewhere online that the Linux and Mac versions don’t contain Denuvo, only the Windows version does. Can anyone confirm? (I can’t find back that comment)

Generally, denuvo is only put on “fresh” new titles and Denuvo gets removed after a few months post launch.

Rise is a few years old. It may be safe to assume it hasnt any hard DRMs on it.

Steam is not always the best about mentioning the specific of the Mac or GNU/Linux ports because that totals less than 5% o their base.

In general Denuvo will never be on a Linux port because it does not work on Linux. If it comes with a SteamOS sticker, you are good to go.

Denuvo GmbH do not sell any linux products so there’s no way it’s in the native linux ports.

Thank you very much for your help! I was unaware Denuvo didn’t run on Linux.

No worries. We all start from somewhere.
