yeah, its the only downside but I'm curious if a G-Sync Kit can fix that. Nvidia plans on selling a G-Sync Kit to install into monitors if you don't want to buy their G-Sync Branded Monitors.
They are? I knew they did before for a limited time and only for one ASUS monitor. I thought they said they weren't going to do a kit. I'm curious as to how much that will run. I feel like it will be incredibly expensive and fairly difficult to install.. Personally, I don't think GSync is going to catch on...
I'd rather just wait for a 60Hz version and GPUs that can power it without the issues of Xfire or SLI. I've seen 4K displays and they do look beautiful but for me 1080p-1440p is plenty for right now and 1440p is already taxing enough on my system haha.
G-Sync was supposed to have a kit you could just put into your monitor, but it looks like right now that only certain monitors can actually be fitted. I heard some could be moded easily, but different makers panels would require metal and electrical working to fit the module.
Aside from the G-sync kit, a regular controller board would be able to alleviate the problem, if it can be upped to 60hz at all. It might just be incapable of running at 60hz. I guess we will have to wait fro someone to mess around with one before we find out.
EDIT: Look at what people have said about this monitor. Not the best choice for most people.
Another concern. There is no need for pixel density that high. I would much prefer being able to have the screen a good bit away from my face which would probably cut down on eye fatigue as well as keep from making nearsightedness such a problem.
Without scaling the text must be incredibly tiny too. Like at 1440p it is too small for me sometimes so at 4k idk if I could do it. Although I have really bad eyesight.
