Dell XPS 9350 Screen Freezing

Hi,

I’ve got a Dell XPS 9350 I bought from eBay and a long story short it doesn’t work, not really.

The screen freezes in every single operating system, Windows, Linux, even MemTest. The screen will freeze but the laptop still seems to work somewhat. It also freezes in the Dell diagnostics page when it goes to test memory. The memory is soldered on this board.

My question is, does anyone know what might be wrong with it or am I better breaking it down for parts and selling the parts because it’s the high end model of the 9350.

Sounds like memory is bad. You can try running memtest86 to confirm, but 99% sure the laptop is done based on what you’ve said.
