Dell R740 networking or just plain dumb!

I recently bought this server in an eBay auction for cheap.
It seems fully functional and comes with a 1-year warranty.
Has I’m new to this kind of HW, I’m having “growth pains”, some of them are wrecking my brain.
The unsolved one, until now, is the integrated NIC that I can’t seem configure it properly.
I installed Proxmox on it, it shows me the address that I should go for the web interface but I can’t see the network connection on the router, hence I can’t access my Proxmox instance.

I read a lot but nothing that would help, I asked chatgtp 4o and I googled a lot. It seems that I’m just plain dumb for not being able to solve this!
I tried a lot of settings in iDRAC9, and still nothing.

I added a second NIC and it doesn’t show up but, if I log into my proxmox instance, on the server, I can see all the ports for both interfaces!

Can anyone tell me what kind of wizardry is this?

No one?!?

Or it’s so simple that you’re testing me in the “admission ritual”?

Why are you mucking about with iDRAC? You’re not trying to assign the iDRAC NIC to Proxmox, are you?

You should not need to use idrac to manage proxmox, just the regular NIC, with port :8006 or whichever

If you log on to proxmox, and can connect out to another machine on your man, you will see the IP that you need.

For the clients/guests hosted in proxmox, then you would use the networking tab of the web console
