Dell has stormed the monitor market by releasing the 5k monitor by a surprise Now this might not sound that exciting but it 1440p first of all, you would need couple of grand titan x to run games specialy triple aaa titles are extremly hard to run and would eat your wallet.
"Dell is launching the P2416D today, which is a 24 inch Quad HD (2560x1440) model. It is an IPS display - Product page is here. It will have 99% of the sRGB color space covered, which is normal in one of Dell’s mainstream offerings, and most people do not require more than sRGB anyway.
Even though it is a mainstream priced display, it does not lack on the stand, which features pivot, swivel, tilt, and height adjustment. It also has a good selection of inputs and outputs, with four USB 2.0 ports, VGA input, DisplayPort 1.2 input, and HDMI 1.4 input."
The P2416D goes on sale at the end of April in the Asia Pacific and European regions, and in May in the U.S. The Dell P2416D will be priced at $369.99.
You don't really need a titan X or Z to play AAA at 1440p. You definitely need something higher end but nothing over a few hundred dollars. Also I hope dell uses their anti-glare coating on these. A lot of there higher end displays are like damn mirrors.
Also, you mentioned in the title that this is a 5k monitor, actually it is only 1440p, not 5k. Quad HD does not meant 4 * 1440p. It means 4 * HD or 4 * 720p.
Wikipedia quote- QuadHD or QHD are in fact only 1440p not this higher 2160p (UHD) standard. Quad HD is four times the resolution of HD or 'HD Ready' (720p), whereas UHD is four times the resolution of Full HD (1080p)
