My system has been running slow recently and i think it's due to defragmentation.
i ran the windows frag analysis test and it comes up with 3% on a 160GB drive (64GB used) HDD of course.
either way if thats real bad or not i want to know: What are some good defrag softwares?
what ones do have you had a good experience with and what ones are free?
even the free version? i don't want to pay for this stuff
Defraggler. It's free and it's great. Get it here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_defraggler/
Keep it running until you see all the blocks are blue.
Ok i ran defraggler and i had close to 10GB fragged
ran it for 2 hours and it's good. :D
windows defrag IT LIES!
I know I'm late, but as a FOSS advocate, I recommend UltraDefrag. Has a plethora of options, including defragging of free space and boot-time defragging for moving system files. Again, FOSS, so it's completely free (both as in free beer and free speech. :D)
