Define R5 vs H440

Since the R5 is out now, I have been looking for more options to build my first PC for silent/good airflow towers. From what I can gather, both have good padding, but it seems like the H440 will have worse airflow because of the nature of its pads; H440 also cannot remove the HDD slots completely (there's a mount to the side) for a radiator on the bottom. However, the H440 does look better compared to the R5, and I'd like to have a good looking case (ideally), but will setlle for better customizations and performance.

Few things to start with considering parts, since that determines on which case is better for cooling/sound optimization. I will most likely to go with either the i5 4690k or i7 4790k (should it be cheap enough), gigabyte's gtx 970 WF version (super long, ~12inches), and maybe some LED fans to make up for the aesthetics. Maybe.

Thoughts? Any help is appreciated since I'm a first time PC builder and really don't know a lot on the fine mechanics of PC building.

Cooling/ sound - will depend on what components you choose >> if you for example get the R5 + a d14/15 cpu cooler + quiet gpu (like the wf3) then you'll have a very quiet pc. On the other had if you have intentions of ever watercooling with a loop that is visible then the h440 is the way to go. Since this is your first build then perhaps the fractal route is more your style.

I'll probably go with the r5 since it's so versatile. Maybe h440 later :D thanks!
