Build log! Build log! Build log!

Parts are still being shipped. Still waiting on PSU, RAM and SHDD and water cooler. Will do a build log once I have the parts

Sounds good. Looking forward to it!

S a little update on the build so far

this is what I'm building. I'm currently waiting for the UPS man and FedEx dude to drop off my parts which should have arrived today according to the tracking info ( I hates lining logistics). Still waiting on PSU, RAM and HDD.

Hot damn, that's some expensive memory.

For 16 GB that is about the most you want to pay at those speeds. From what I have heard that company is almost like G.Skill, minus the lifetime warranty. I think G.Skill might actually own them.

Cool build, what was the reason for the RAM choice?

My bad, I first thought it was a 2x4 kit.

PSU is struggle

You should return that psu and buy a better one. Coolmax and raidmax power supplies are bombs branded as power  supplies.

I choose that RAM as the cost wasn't much more then other 2x8GB RAM sets and the machine will be used as my main desktop for productivity. The only reason I got the faster RAM was improved productivity. Also the RAM was $20 some dollars cheaper when I bought it.

thecaveman: I've not had any bad experience with coolmax PSUs.

They're known to be pretty horrible, even if you haven't they still are (along side raidmax) reported to have the highest failure rates among psu makers
