Default voltages for Asus Crosshair V Formula Z + AMD 9590 combo

Hi guys. First of all I want to say that when I build this PC and powered it on for the first time and went to BIOS I had all voltage values by default and had to change just few parameters to get this system stable, never did overclock. Recently I saw that there is new BIOS version so I updated trough Al Suite II. Update went allright no problems there but after update I chose wrong option and lost all my values in bios and everything now is on AUTO and system is not stable. Is there any way to get the default voltage values back? Or maybe someone have same combo and could tell me the correct voltages? Thanks.

I think that a FX9590 should sit arround 1.5V.
But you could also choose to change the CPU / NB voltage setting from Offset to manual mode,
and then just leave the value on auto.
Then reboot, and check which voltage you get, and if the system is stable.

Pretty much thats whats happening now and its not stable. I had random system restart at no load without any warning, just restart aswell as when I play games I get random game crashes and again without any rerror message or anything like that just kicked out to desktop.

CPU Configuration.

  • Cool N Quiet - disabled
  • C1E - Disabled
  • SVM - Disabled
  • C6 state - Enable
  • HPC mode - disabled
  • APM - auto

OC Tweaker:

  • CPU spread spectrum - Disabled
  • Pci-e spread spectrum - auto
  • EPU power saving - disabled.

CPU NB voltage - manual mode.
CPU manual Voltage - 1.5V

Just see if you can get it stable with this without toutching LLC settings and such.

With CPU Manual Voltage you mean VCORE? If so then currently I have set it to 1.45V I tried 1.49V but then system was freezing on logon and I hardly could get in BIOS (With multiple shutdowns) Also CPU states couse pc random freeze at least in the past with previous BIOS version.

Had this same problem and disabling states fixed it, however Im not sure now with this BIOS version.

Would clearing the CMOS reset the CPU settings?

advanced settings, cpu configuration menu.
then take over those cpu configuration settings i listed above.
You could also try and disable C6 state eventualy.

Wouldnt it set it back to values as AUTO? Cause honestly now Im not sure about the values being as default, as I said I had issues from begining and maybe someone previously advised to set values manually as I had. If that makes sence.

It might or u could try to downgrade to a lower version

if you clear the cmos, then it will reset all the settings back to auto indeed.
Basicly if you disable those powersaving feutures in the cpu configuration menu.
and in the OC tweaker menu, just change the cpu / NB voltage settings from offset to manual mode.

  • Cpu voltage: 1.48V.

Digi + VRM power control.

  • CPU LLC - High
  • CPU NB LLC - medium
  • CPU voltage overcurrent - 120%.

Give this a try, not sure which psu you have?
Basicly you should not have to go trough all this to get it stable.
Normaly everything by default should work, you only have to disable power saving feutures.
