They've got a lot of metal to touch, and their QC looks good.

Doesn't really matter. If they were losing a lot of money through ESD, I'm sure they'd address the issue.

Well you dont need to be grounded, just in the same potential anyway

I've had 2. The first one killed a Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 board, the second one ruined a HD4870x2. (artifacting afterwards). Luckily I managed to RMA the card because there was an issue with the cooler (ticking noise) anyway.
