We went to Beijing and then Shenzhen to check out the Deepcool factory. If it isn't the largest the largest machine shop you have ever seen I'll eat something weird.
Deepcool makes plenty of products. Check out the video and let us know what you think.
Yeah I used to work a lot in a RF shielded anechoic chamber. We were testing WiFi performance and things like that rather than sound levels. Missed a lot of phone calls while in there :) Luckily though copper screen rooms work nearly as well in most cases for RF-related work. When working in those you don't feel like you are in a dark cave.
Awesome video folks. I'd love to see more factory/facility content both in the states and abroad. You should try to connect with some folks from the Seattle area or the silicon forest outside portland. It would be really cool to get you guys inside Intel's Ronler Acres fab facility in hillsboro :D
This is absolutely beautiful! These type of videos in my mind are far more valuable and interesting than the general computer part overviews/reviews that are done elsewhere ten times over!
It's always pleasing to see Tek Syndicate bringing out quality content and as of recent with this, the 10 Gigabit Ethernet series and as always with The Tek, you people really are on a roll! :-)
This is the sort of thing I want to do more. I feel like most hardware is interesting for 6 months or so (unless it's really special)... but this sort of video is a deeper look into the hardware we all purchase. I like the broader picture.
Here, here! Aside from the older stuff which was high on personality...( old inbox.exe video with qain talking about wifi anyone? Ha!) This latest stuff from Wendell (the 10 Gig ethernet), this video and the most recent tek have been great. Hope you snag your part-time (wo)man/cyborg/whatever and can key up this stuff more easily (and also game a bit more.) Thanks for what ya'll do.
This was a really interesting video. I just wish you guys could have done a few interviews with some of the people working at the different stations but I'm assuming language was a big issue.
If you are interested I might be able to get you in touch with some folks at Intel if you wanted to do some facility tours or something if you don't already have contacts within the company.
