Decisions Decisions on Epyc Milan

Want to upgrade from a single Rome 7302 on a Gigabyte MZ32-AR0 board. Choices look like 7543 or 7763. Maybe a 75F3? Some compare CPU sites or opinion boards claim a single core out-performance by the 7763 over the 7543?? Strange unless it is a thermal core issue, seems wrong based on boost frequency difference bested by the 7543?

Also, in a single socket mobo, do I lose any performance or resources, or gain any anything by getting a “P” CPU verse a “Non-P”. Any opinions appreciated.

Bueller?

Bueller? Anyone? Bueller?

Unfortunately I can’t speak to any other EPYC chip than my 7543.

It’s a great chip. Performs very well in my server, but it is the only one I’ve ever used, so I can’t compare and contrast it to others.
