Deciding on Laptop Ram

I just bought an Acer Aspire V3-571G-6622 Intel Core i5 3230M. It comes with DDR3 1600 (Reportedly) 4GB RAM and I want to upgrade 8GB. Now my question is about the real world performance difference in the Cas Latency. I have 2 to choose from, Cas 9 and Cas 11. I know that lower is generally better but they're both rated at 1600 speeds and I want to know if there is a real world performance difference.

I ask because I can get the Cas 11 RAM at Fry's today and the 9 online. If there is a noticable real world performance difference, then I'd rather wait for the Cas 9 RAM, but if not, I'll get the Cas 11 RAM today.

I'd much appreciate the help.

Cas 11 for 1600mHz would be incredibly slow. Get the CL 9. Unless you are running 3000mHz, CL 11 isn't acceptable. For laptops, you probably won't be doing too much editing, so CL won't impact the performance as much, bt CL 11 1600mHz is rediculous.

Wow, is it that slow? Well I'm only using it for school and some medium to light gaming. If I need to do anything heavy I have my desktop for that. It has more than enough power for video editing or whatnot. It's a core i7 3770k with 16GB DDR3 1600 Cas 9 RAM.

I just want my laptop to be responsive and snappy. I won't be doing anything compute heavy.
