Decent Monitor under £300

Hey, just put together my first build parts list (Gaming). I'm buying it all todat and I have everything except a monitor.
Was looking at the giant AMH A409U but 1. I don't know if that's just a bit too big and 2. I'd kinda like to spend a little less.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just incase you're interested, this is my list:
Mobo: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
GPU: Asus GTX 980TI STRIX
CPU: Intel i5 6600 Skylake
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4
SSD: Samsung 850EVO 250GB
HD: WD Black 1TB
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S
PSU: EVGA 750W 80+Gold
Fans: Noctua NF-A14S (x2)
Case: Fractal Define R5 (window)
Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70
Headphones: Steelseries Siberia V3

You could have easily got FuryX with a huge Freesync 1440p/4k monitor... But since you choose 980Ti... Any 1440p/4k monitor with IPS panel...
You may actually want to check some Gsync panels, like Acer Predator for example...
Edit: no...Gsync is still way to expensive...

Yeah I'm pretty happy with my parts though. Just really need to find a decent (and hopefully cheap) monitor! :)

I have been thinking of jumping to a new monitor since mine is pretty old.

For various reasons this one was really jumping out to me http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00U701NH2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=35P4VSWAS9DD1&coliid=IF82TK54I7CVV

Much cheaper right now on newegg but the tax/imports was killer.

I'm still considering but the reviews looks good, the specs seemed good on the surface for me since I want a bit of gaming and decent for a bit a work. The 25 inch screen gives a lovely pixel density too.

1440p is just what my budget dictates right now (and hardware I can buy) but I am getting hesitant because 4k is calling soon enough and that. Thinking is it worth it to chill and go 1980x1200 to 4k straight?

It just has been so long since I looking a this kind of hardware I am trying to get a crash course the last couple of days to make an informed decision.
