DDR5 4 dimms on am5 -- what's working, what's not?

I’m definitely interested in hearing how you go with 256GB of memory. I noticed the bios notes mentioned support but I wasn’t able to find in the wild reports of success running this.

Hi, I’m running 4x64GB, currently at 4800MHz and apparently stable (as far as my testing went).
I may try to push it to 5000 or 5200MHz this weekend.

how long did yours take?

with 4x 32GB ECC DDR5 mine took something like 10-20min (I stopped paying attention after a while)

on the Asus ProArt B650 + Ryzen 9900X with latest BIOS which I think is the 2904 with 4x sticks of this RAM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLWZDY9G

Would you mind sharing the memory kit that you are currently running for 4x64GB?

Sure, got 4 of those:

Keep in mind that it’s a CUDIMM module and a tad more expensive than the UDIMM offerings from Crucial.

I got the RAM and I can confirm that it works.

Running 256GB@5000MHz, haven’t tried going higher.

My B650 is pretty much maxed out now.

really? I thought he just got the carbon a new bios. https://www.msi.com/blog/msi-releases-new-x870-bios-supports-192gb-48gb-x4-memory-at-6400mts

what version of CMK96GX5M2B6000Z30 does the sticker on the sticks state btw? And are they all the same version?

Corsair states the following:

  • V3.XX: Micron-based ICs
  • V4.XX: Samsung-based ICs
  • V5.XX: Hynix-based ICs

Awesome. Thanks guys. This gives me sufficient confidence to pull the trigger :grinning:

Can confirm this runs on a Proart x660e with a Ryzen 9 7900 at 5000 MHz. Apart from requiring a bios upgrade to the newest version, I had to manually change the default of 3600 MHz. I’ll try bumping the speed to 5200 Mhz this weekend.
