Anybody have any info on when we will start seeing this become available?
if im gonna drop $150.00 bucks on 8gb of ram its gonna be ddr4...cannot understand the price increase of ram...
Where on earth are you spending $150 on 8GB of RAM? You can get some 16GB of some crazy high frequency DDR3 for that, or super uber low CL DDR3 for that, with a great frequency, as well.
to be fair you are able to achieve lower latencies on smaller sized ram more easily, in particular 4GB stick rather than 8GB sticks
As far as I know, DDR4 isn't coming for about 1.5 years ish?
Even 8GB of DDR3 1600mHz CL5 would cost about $100 to $110.
the price was more of me just exaggerating the high cost of ram..even though 100-110 bucks is high enough
And even then it won't be compatable with modern RAM slots

DDR4 will come with Hasswell-E probably over 2 years.
