I was not watching close and ordered DDR3 1600 ram and my MoBo specs note DDR3 2000(OC)/1866.
I guess this ram won't work. What do you all think I should get? I am new to building computers so cut me some slack.

1600mhz ram will work absolutly fine ☺
Nothing to worry about.
I have been gaming on the Play Station for years. I watch the Tek videos on you tube and have been convinced to dive into PC gaming. The vid on the 650.00 gaming computer made me get off my ass. I spent closer to 1200.00, I wanted to get a good mid gaming PC.
Thanks
if you spent $1200 you should have a pretty damn high end setup... what'd you spend it on?
1600mHz will run fine, but I bet you could easily hit 1866mHz just because why not overclock? Memory OCing is really fun, to me at least, but timing tightening is the best.

I am all in at $1213.18. I wish I would have had a bit more money for the GPU, but I want a solid base to build on.
Did I go wrong on anything?
That is what I have found out about the RAM I got, it can do 1866 OC with no problems (i hope).
I am new to building PC's so I will have to get help getting the ram to run faster.
My gigabyte mobo defaulted to 1333, I had to set it to 1600. It runs great. Thanks
