So I reached the end of the DBAN process and I’m greeted with a promotional Blancco page and I was wondering how to go from here. I believe there is a way to proceed in which the system will just restart (as I am pretty sure I’ve done before). I think it was some type of key combinations, but I’ve been trying and I haven’t been able to get it.
Tried the easiest basic ones like CTRL ALT DELETE, Shift + F10, etc… no luck anyone know?
At that point I just hard reset.
Yeah, I do the same or hard shut down, but I could have sworn that there is a way to restart or continue at the software level. I just can’t figure out or remember what it is exactly.
Any reason why? The disk is wiped.
Well, usually having to perform such a task means that something wasn’t done correctly in code.
For example, if I were to make a similar program (assuming if I even could), at the very least, I don’t think I would ever inform the user to use hardware level material. In makes much more sense to do so at the software level.
In short, using something like a hardware level reset switch feels like the type of thing to do when in a worst case scenario type of situation or something similar.
