I can't really help anyway as I have seen my home PC in about 3 months haha but I'm sure someone will play a bit with you.
Shit, just play around a bit and learn by failure man. It's a damn fun game (or mod in this case).
So many cheaters in this game, I gave up even trying to play it.
There is no way that you will live for 24 hours w/o some cheater getting in the server and killing everyone instantly...
I am currently playing arma 3 Breaking point which is somewhat like dayz, but zombies are easier to kill/ get by and community is worse which really sux. There is almost no teamplay, strangers shoot on sight etc...
You don't need anyone to teach you how to play this mod, go watch frankie or psisyndicate if you really have to, but best way is to just get in the game and start learning on your mistakes. If you don't know how to play arma, than first play tutorial missions before getting into dayz.
So many hackers in the mod AND the standalone. Don't think I will play to DayZ any time soon.
