Specs:
A10-7850k w/GA-F2A88HM-D3H MB stock cpu cooler
8 gig 2133 corsair Ram
Antec case with 380 watt PSU
Old 500 gig SATA HD and 19 inch monitor and DVD drive and Win 7 I got for 20 bucks.
Upgrade:
27 inch Acer 1080 monitor, XFX R7 250 in dual graphics, intel 535 240 gig SSD and Win 10 OEM.
Upgrade went smooth as can be. I gave her the ssd instructions and "mentioned" some free intel migration software. Next morning Win 10 is GONE and Win 7 is now on the ssd. Win 10 DVD won't boot so I yank my dvd drive attach it to hers and unplug her old HD. Christmas Day was now DSL download day and that is not fun! At least the dog didn't eat the turkey:)

If there isn't any super important data on the old HD I would just do a fresh install of windows. It generally helps take care of any unwanted/corrupt data.

Shes got a bunch of stuff just in her download file. I'll transfer that later.
Did the fresh install. Still gotta install the crimson drivers etc. HD is dying anyway so I just left it unplugged for now along with the dead DVD drive.
