Data Corruption Problems

I recently got Tomb Raider on Steam. I have been playing it quite a bit but now my profile which was at 24% complete yesterday is now reading Corrupt Data 0%. This happened a few days ago after the game randomly started lagging and I closed. I closed it normally by pressing quite no force stop or anything. That time I was able to continue from my last campsite but this time that option says 0% complete as well. Is there anyway to get my save data back or more importantly make this not happen again?

Did you try running image cache integrity sometimes that will fix stuff like this? Rightclick game properties>local files>verify integrity of game cache

I just ran it so we'll see if that fixes anything.

Does that game backup game saves to the cloud? If it does, you can get it back that way. If not, and it's currupted, I don't know how you would get it back. Recovery software wouldnt work because the corrupted file would have overwritten the good file on disk.

It says that it does but I think it may have backed up the corrupted file. Do you know what might be causeing this file corruption problem?

I just got the same Data Corrupt issue in GRID 2.

are your games on a secondary hard drive? If so, that means your primary hard drive could be having errors. I would run chkdisk.
