I'm looking at getting a mechanical keyboard. I'm pretty sure that I want MX Blues and am right now trying to decide between the two keyboards listed in the title, the Das Keyboard 4C Professional and the CM Storm Quickfire Tk.
However, I have entirely no experience in Mech keyboards and so don't know what really are the good ones and which ones to avoid (other than Razer.) I can the two of them for the same price, that's why I'm comparing them.
From what I've heard Das Keyboard makes incredible keyboards and they looks very nice, but I have a friend who highly recommends the Quickfire Tk. Plus the Quickfire features a numpad and backlighting.
The Cherry MX Brown switch is the most compatible for most usage scenarios. See second tab of the keyboard sheet in the link below. If you are a gamer, you may want to know
Brown - Reset point & actuation point are close enough - you can "float" at that point enabling faster double tap. Blue - The release point is above the actuation point. Can cause some trouble with double-tapping.
CM Storm boards are mediocre. Das makes decent boards but isn't a leader anymore.
Corsair boards are the best bang for the buck and have dedicated media keys etc.
Ducky and Filco don't have dedicated media keys, they are generally more money and higher quality than most other brands. They also stick with standard formats which allows you to replace any keycaps that you wish to.
