Oh no! Nothing like that! All citizens have equal rights to start out with, but...
If you are using closed source software, you're not taking control of your computer, and your voluntarily not exercising your rights as a free citizen of society, and you only have yourself to blame.
Nobody is responsible for all of the jackasses that are to dumb not to crap in their own garden, and then complain that they can't leave their house anymore and that it stinks. In the words of Adam Curry from No Agenda: "Is this what the technological revolution has come to: Facebook and Netflix?" Well yeah, and we've got locked down impotent software consoles like Windows to thank for that, because they're fucking useless to actually leverage the technological revolution, in fact, they're specifically made to prevent people from leveraging the technological evolution and to make people just squander around idly.
Fact: every time you waive a right, it will take a hell of a lot of effort (mostly by others) to get you that right back. The entire freedom and power of the Internet is squandered on dumb arses that would kill to be able to rush eyes open into honey traps, but forget that the people they bully or offend or worse on their way in, are the people that will have to move heaven and earth to pull them back out again when the shit has really hit the fan.
Being smart is a burden, a responsibility, it's never ending hard and ungrateful work, but it's still gratifying. Being dumb is a lottery, you hope to come out a winner, or to not lose too much, but even for those that win, it's never gratifying, it's diverting at best.
Why can monopolistic ISP's, Google and Microsoft etc get such a grip on the American society? Because people don't enforce their rights, they're like deer caught in the headlights of a lorry that's racing out to get them. Then when the shit hits the fan, instead of choosing to stop being dumb arse corporate bait, they persevere in their stupidity and insist on bashing, ridiculing and dismissing the deer that aren't caught in the headlights and try to help them out from the forest.
People that already know what others still have to find out, the smart deer, do not use dumb arse self-medicating painkiller slogans like "PC Master Race aka MS-Windows Herrenvolk" that only prove the ignorance of the slogan shouter, they get ready for bailing out as many dumb arse deer as they can save before the lorry crushes them.
If an artist has to put up a readily-made aircrack-ng script to protect artistic assets and human rights, how far has this gotten? Think about this... this should never have been necessary in the first place had the people that were supposed to take their responsibility, have actually taken their responsibility. This has now gotten an air of civil disobedience and activism, but that's just unfair... how is it that people are seen as being civil disobedient or in the US and UK even "terrorists" if they prevent mass violation of human rights by ignorant corporate drones? It has nothing to do with civil disobedience, the glassholes are the ones violating citizen rights and breaking the most holy of laws, they should have been arrested in the first place, because it's just wrong in so many ways.
And by the way, the website with the script is back up again: http://julianoliver.com/output/log_2014-05-30_20-52
Use these human rights protection tools in a legal manner! Using them illegally would negate the very principle why these tools exist and would mean that you're no better than the mass human rights violating corporations you're defending the people against!
Use these human rights protection tools cleverly! Don't cause huge costs for yourself. Standalone low power devices capable of running scripts like these, are available for as little as 7 EUR per piece. Many venues, university auditoria, research facilities with IP rights to defend, etc... implement these techniques already. People with a rooted linux phone can easily secure their environment on public wifi networks wherever they go, if protecting one's rights in that way is legal in your jurisdiction.
