I recently decided to paint one of my two shells for my wireless controller and this is what I came up with. I just went with the Vault symbol since Borderlands 2 came out. I would have painted my corded one I use on my computer but it is an Afterglow and I like having the LEDs. I am going to paint my other shell and I am looking for suggestions so please leave any if you have them.
I would really appreciate any input anyone has :)
Looks cool, but I can't help feeling like that would be sticky to hold due to the spray paint. That is, if you used spray paint.
Hey, nice paint job. Unless you have a game that you particularly like other than the Boarderlands game you used the colour scheme with, stick with the same colours but reverse them. Go with a red bottom and orange top as well as reversing the logo colour. They would look cool side by side and no questions asked as to who's is who's.
It might look cool to scuff them up with some sandpaper too just to make them look a little more worn out. I think that would go really cool with the borderlands theme.
It isn't any stickier than a normal controller because I used good quality plastics paint. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I will keep them in mind :) I am currently working on a controller for a friend that will be solid blue with a red Vault symbol and red accents on the triggers, bumpers and the d-pad. I replaced the X on the Xbox button with a red Vault symbol on an orange background on mine. I can post a pic if requested.
For the other controller I would suggest pic an old school game you really enjoy and role with that. Having a controller painted for a recent release (which kicks ass) and a controller for a retro favorite would be an awesome contrast.
Thats a great idea! I'm a huge fan of Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES so maybe I could do a 1-up mushroom or a question block
