Hey everyone, it is upgrade time for me as far as cooling goes and got the red and black NZXT H-440. I am contemplating doing a full custom loop for my system but having only done this once like eight years ago I don't really know what I am looking at. Specs of system are here: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9m6ff7
As far a budget goes I don't want to spend tons of money but really no set number. I want a full loop. (CPU, GPU, Pump/Res, tubing, coolant, radiators, and fittings.) BTW I live in the US. It all needs to fit in a H-440 and a red and black therme is preferred. Thanks for the help guys!! :D
Youtube OC3D - Tiny Toms H440 review - watercooling options explained. Yep - that gpu.... No supported block as its a very customized pcb. What I'd do is maybe look for to swap it for a golden vanilla 980 (one that has an ASIC rating >80% - use gpu-z to view this reading). I wouldnt even consider using a uni block unless you want to carefully mod a stock nvidia 980 cooler so you can comfortably cool the vrm, memory etc.
You have plenty of radiator options. Front 2 x 140 or 3 x 120mm Top 2 x 140 or 3 x 120mm Rear 1 x 140/120mm --- a minimum total surface area of 360mm for both cpu and gpu loop. I'd look at getting a 3x120 for the front - 60mm thick + a 2x 140 for the roof (30-45mm so you have loads of clearance). At the end of the day you have so many options. Pumps - Im a fan of D5's - xspc's tube res/pump combos are well worth considering. Fittings - whatever floats ya boat - compression, barb... Same goes for tubing size or use of acrylic tubing. Coolant - demin water + liquid utopia additive. Google some build logs for ideas.
