I plan to build this. Still waiting for my dad to get home so we can discuss, but this is what we will build (hopefully). I still don't even know if he will, but lets hope. Anything I should tell him to try and persuade him?

Tell him it's adult legos, oh and don't try to show him videos on how it's easy, he'll immediately think it's too hard for you.

on the subject of forcing, you do need to force the RAM and the IO shield.

You could do much better than that build.
