Unfortunately I can't really give this article any justice with a one sentence title, but this story fits into the current themes on The Tek of 'The War on Information" (for lack of a better way to put it).
Governments are hoovering up data, often illegally, and this has been a pretty significant problem. However the current Canadian government has been taking this a step further by restricting information in the hands of the Canadian government ('restricting doesn't give it much justice either so please read the article below). The current government has been eroding democracy in Canada, and with the current election coming up next month, we have to get all the information we can out there, to get people to vote the Harper government out.
