Cuda miner, with an fx1800 quadro

Is mining with cuda miner worth it, I'm mean the system i have is on 100% of the time anyway, so i don't see why not since the things is basically my server. what runs other apps, but none are Gpu based. i would like to set it up to mine liteoins for me, since i would use the extra cash. however i have no idea where to being. I looked to YouTube, however there really isn't a good video that i can find that goes from start to finish how to set up, and how to begin mining. So do anyone out there have an answer?

go to the litecoin website to learn how to mine, as for setting up cuda miner ive only done it once and since forgot. But your post and the recent upshot of pricing in bitcoins has regained my attention.

well please let me know how to set up solo mining, i working to get and old Pentium 4 rig set up with a 7850 to run 24/7. and I'm still doing research but there no good step by step.

In your cudaminer folder make a notepad file and paste this inside.

cudaminer -o stratum+tcp://yourpool:portnumber -O user:pass -i 1

Replace yourpool, portnumber, user and pass with the pool of your choice, their pool number, your username and password respectively. Save this file as launch.bat (make sure to select all files while saving in notepad so your file is NOT saved as launch.bat.txt). Now open launch.bat and it should start mining. If there is a problem or an error add another line to the code and write "pause". This will pause the terminal so you can read it without it disappearing in like half a second.

From what I've heard, solo mining is less profitable than pool mining because it has higher difficulty. Hope this helps
