At least this guy has figured out how to disable ratings and comments. I usually enjoy his laid back, simple content but why do people insist on shovelling this drivel to potentially underinformed viewers?

I gues that tare sponsored videos/articles.
Why would sombody need a ssd on a buged? they are so full of crap!
$1,600 is "Budget Build" ?
One word.....Troll
understand the word "budget"
I'm a filmmaker and i have a budget of 7,000-7500- this would be a budget for him.
Sorry but no $1600 to make a pc to play that game on high setings is ridiculous
You dont need a i7 or a ssd
*i7 3820 is over kill and not really meant for gaming.
*mobo is a little over priced since you can't OC too much with the evo, but i'm letting it pass for a z77
*he doesn't know better, but if you're on a "budget" you usually want things to last, and that PSU might not. - unless it uses high quality parts, like seasonics.
*there are hundreds of <$100 cases, and it's up for the builder to deside because they look at it. a C70 isn't for everyone.
*there is no reason he got a 240GB ssd. a 120 would've been fine and extra money could've been thrown @ a better gpu.
'greed, also my rant covers other angles
Considering the first line on the page is "But do you really need a $500 video card to play it on high settings"
Its supposed to a lower budget bild but considering hes spending $1600 you can fit a $500 card in there anyway lol so it seams pointless
*Sigh* Its jackasses like this that are keeping Pc gaming a niche hobby.
Idk if I'd automatically label him a troll. He's typically pretty straight forward and tries to be as educational as possible with his channel. I've noticed in the past that he likes to hold comments for review so its no surprise that he just disabled comments and ratings rather than listening to them. Its sad but he strikes me as one of those people that just likes to do things his own way regardless and isn't open to critique.
Whatever the case, he's just parroting the contents of an artical in a magazine. So in truth, even if he should know better, its the author of the articles fault. I think whats even more sad is that most people would then immediately make the arguement that they trust the author, an "industry professional paid to know what he's talking about", more than some random "mob" on the internet.
+1 and i have been a subscriber to Carey's channel for sometime.
Those "pc" magazines seam to be out of touch and generally pick the newset of items just to promote them in most cases.
Yeah I found him a few months ago. His stuff is pretty basic most of the times but I like throwing it and the podcasts up on the side while I'm working on something tedious.
I didn't take him to be an "industry expert" on all the latest gaming technology and trends, but I figured he would at least know what he's talking about. I'm a little disappointed to say the least. I was waiting for the end of the video where he actually discussed or debated the choices of parts... maybe there was a render or editting error? Yes... we'll go with that.
It's not that the computer wouldn't fit the term "budget", but that budget wouldn't fit the application. If you want to talk about a budget build thats going to require socket 2011, then people can do that. But it's retarded to say that you need to spend an extra $200-400 dollars on that kind of socket, chipset, and SSD just to play a video game while saving less than $100 on the GPU.
The video, original article, and build are all solid but they don't fit the title that implies it will be the cheapest possible setup for only playing Crysis 3 on High.
Why give them hits? ... ignore and move on... the same with that lava dude... ignore and move on... even if he calls me bad names.
lava dude?
wait, don't tell me, i won't give them hits
This is my crysis 3 budget build

Everyone has their own budget build, that happens to be mine, I tried to fitting in as much stuff thst I needed for my mancave, but had to keep it under. Everyone has a different definition of "budget" but at the same time, the general budget build, imo should be between $500-2000, because everyone is different, also there are exceptions, like for mancaves and other add on stuff
Carey is really educational if you check out the rest of his channel.
If you realize he wasn't stating that's what he would pick he was saying that's what the magazines picked. that's it, that's all he did he didn't comment on the computer at all saying it was good or bad.
personally i'm conflicted because he is good with giving out solid info but this is ridiculus.
How so? Everyone has a different opinion. We are here to debate our own.
