Okay, So currently i have a AMD fx 6300 6-core and I have 2 monitors both 1080p, one of those monitors is actually a tv so running it through HDMI. I have a 750 watt PSU, 1 HDD 1tb Blue Western Digital, one 120gb SSD Hyper X, and A 7970 OC sapphire, I want to know if its worth it to crossfire? I play games like World of Warcraft, DOTA 2, Crysis, MK, Unreal Tournament, CoD, BF4, Things like that. Also if it is do i need a new PSU. Thank you for advice much a apreciated.
Err...shouldnt you already max out pretty much everything with that setup? Im using a 280x (rebranded 7970) for a 1440p monitor and its fine for me.....
If your 750w PSU is a proper one it should run 2 with no problem btw.
My set up is on my profile. I just installed the newest beta AMD drivers 14.4 and it made me quite happy with my xfire set up.
750 watts ok. Just dont push to hard.
frame pacing better in eyefinity, a lot less stuttering.
Just finished running most of my games with our crashes and seems to be a big improvement with the newest drivers, not FPS but less tearing for sure.
Two monitor gaming is not recommended as your cross-hair will be in the bezels.
you will have a tough time finding another 7970 probably will need a R9 280x if you want to crossfire.
Consider a third monitor for full eyefinity fun
Older games will not benefit much and may not even work with xfire.
Thank you very much, :)
