My friend is having issues with ryzen, he is blaming poor performance on it in games like Doom and Skyrim. He gets about 30fps at times. I believe it is due to the update to creators. For me I get frame drops ever since updating. He has a gtx 1070 and a 1800x. I do remember initially he had trouble getting nvidia drivers to work on it. I don’t know what it could be besides the update, because I didn’t have issues before hand either.
Any suggestions?
I had to reinstall the AMD Chipset Drivers after the latest major Windows 10 update.

I suggest checking that the power plan “AMD Ryzen Balanced” is available and active, which comes with the chipset drivers.
Might wanna shut off the xbox stuff and the game dvr, also. I normally run in performance mode for a power plan.
Yeah as always the New update will cripple somethings, i also got issues with the FCU and the latest Nvidia Driver, i had to rollback to the 384 because my monitores didnt showed up on Windows(also disabled auto install newest drivers)
