Hey Krista, Wendell, and Ryan,
Hope you’re all doing well. I stumbled upon a wild story by Spanian, a known figure here in Sydney, and thought you guys might find it interesting for the Level1Techs show.
Spanian talks about getting locked inside a computer store near the University of Sydney, right next to a cafe I used to frequent. He was checking out GPUs when the roller door suddenly shut, trapping him inside. With no staff around, he had to call the police. When they finally arrived, they treated him like a suspect, even pulling out their guns before realizing he was just stuck in there.
Where was the owner? Why did the door shut? In the video, if you watch it, you’ll see the roller door opening and closing by itself. It’s a bizarre, almost dystopian scenario with a tech twist. Given the valuable gear in the store, it’s surprising this kind of thing hasn’t been fixed. I think your audience would find it as crazy as I did.
Check the video out: I can’t link it here but the video is titled “I Got Wrongfully Arrested in a Computer Store” on the YouTube channel “Spanian Live”
