CPU Temperature Delta question

Can anyone help me with this query?

I built my first PC recently (posted a build log in the PC gaming forum as it is a gaming rig primarily).

However, when reviewing my CPU temperatures I have noticed that there is a spread of over 10 degrees across the cores.

Is this normal?

Please note that these temps are at idle load with a mild overclock and are about 10-15 degrees above room temp.

Forget to mention I'm running an after market CPU cooler (Hyper 212 Evo)

Thanks in advance.

Yes, this is fine. You might want to re-apply the thermal paste again though. Just so that you can get a better contact. This time, put a miniature pea-sized blob of thermal compound on the CPU and make sure that the heatsink is putting adequate pressure on the CPU.
