you should if you're using software (since it prob wont detect change)
just do it to be safe
okay, how do i undo an overclock? do i just set it back to default? would removing the battery work?
if you oced through the bios F9 should be load defaults.
so if i used something like AMD overdrive how would i undo the OC?
good question, never used the software, im more of an intel/ bios overclocker.
u'd proubly hav to know what they were in the before u oced and change it back but i not sure if there an easy reset button
Set the settings back at stock, remove the software.
Seriously anyone who uses software to overclock deserves a chuck norris roundhouse kick to the face.
i agree with you, software sucks.
Uninstall software
Clear CMOS
first of all dont oc with software, because all software (amd overdrive, ntune) sucks, secondly, just clear cmos before inserting new components. If you actually knew how to oc in bios, you could just put the FSB back to stock (or multiplier if you have a black edition).
Always OC through Bios, and jsut reset defults bro
Nice repeating what the 5 of us just said... x]
