Hey guys i bought a motherboard and cpu from a local hardware shop in my area, the seller confirmed to me that the cpu and mobo where compatible as they are both lga1155 and they state NO REFUNDS so in good faith i went through with the purchase.
the mobo in question is the AIMB-581
and cpu is the i5-3550
after much frustration and the board not booting i remembered i had an i5-2230? (need to double check), and it seems to work like a charm
just wanted to know what the forum thinks is it possible to update the bios to support this chip?
anyone have experience with this line of boards? or am i just sol and have to do a charge back on a local business.
love to have some feedback on what i should do.
