Except it has a VRM that can skew up to .1V off of what you tell it to, or even more. That can fry your CPU. No thank you.
That doesn't even matter if he's not overclocking.
if he only wanne buy a board for CF at 8x then i would go for the Msi Z77A GD45 Gaming or something like a asus in the same price range ☺
Then why get Z77?
Sources? I'd like to read about this myself. Never heard of this issue before.
Reasoning for getting a Z77 even though he isn't overclocking:
As far as I know, there aren't any H77 boards that properly support 2 way SLI. Plus, H77 boards are generally just as expensive as Z77 boards, so why not get Z77 lol?
He needs the extra PCI-E lanes for dual graphics cards.
Yeah, that would be fine. If he does decide he wants to get a new CPU to overclock though, then that Microcenter Sabertooth bundle is pretty perfect.
Hey, sorry I couldn't reply for a couple days. I've been really busy with college and such. I think I am going to try to aim for that microcenter deal as that seems really bad-ass. Once again, thanks for the replys. It has really helped me in my descision making process.
