Hi everyone!
I have recently been on holiday and when I have come back my CPU fan is suddenly extremely loud to the point where I can hear it through my headphones as well. I have checked the CPU temperatures and it is only reaching 40-50 degrees. It is also only using about 30% of the total CPU usage. I was wondering if anybody has an explanation.
Thanks for any help!
I dont know about you but its HOT here its 32c in my flat at the moment and thats makeing my cpu runn at 42c not much i can do about it at the moment.
Are you useing the stock fan?
Yeah its like 32c at my house as well. So is it just the summer weather?
And I am yeah, I can't really afford to upgrade it at the moment. Same with my case which is awful and probably has bad airflow but its the best I can do for now.
I have coolermaster on mine (i just installed it to day becase its geting so hot here)
Thats only 10c over ambient room temps so its mostly down to the weather
Is there anything else that it could be or is it most likely to be the increase in weather? Admittedly, it has gotten like 5-10 degrees hotter since I've gotten back. So it could be that.
Well if you cant afford to add extra fans/cooling at the moment you can enable cool and quiet in the bios(that will runn the cpu at lower speeds when not in use as much)
Or you can try underclocking your cpu to run lower giveing off less heat
You could install an airco and point the icecold stream directly at your case intake.
I did that. Ppl call me crazy. They are right.
Because there isnt much else you can do against a overheated room. even my watercooling is gravely affected by the hot weather. When it's hot outside you can kiss those over-the-edge overclocks and/or silent fans goodbye :-(
Ah okay, that is fine. I'll give all of these a go and see if they work. Thanks everyone!
