My Windows 10 pro was acting all kinds of goofy, decided to do a reset. Reset failed so got my media creation disk and tried to do a clean install. I get “We couldn’t create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files”. I have formated several disks and tried that, built a new win 10 install disk. use CMD and diskpart to build a new partition and still get the same error. Any idea’s?
When you are in the installer you should be able to select “Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)”
You can then delete all your partitions and proceed with a fresh install.
Move along, nothing to see here. After posting I unplugged my 1TB Data drive and a 2TB wd red drive. disconnected, and windows loaded as per normal. Now back to rebuilding the Rosewill sever chassis, and windows. 2 days I screwed around on this thing! I have installed windows 10 100’s of times btw.
